As disciples of Christ, we can easily wander off into wrong thinking about sin. We need God's wisdom to view sin rightly. On one hand, we must make it our aim not to sin. On the other hand, when we sin, we must not despair but take refuge in Christ our Advocate.

Though Christians are those who share in the life of Christ by faith and now walk in the light and have been cleansed of their sin, we still will sin. When we sin, we must not deny it or cover it up, but must confess our sins, trusting that God is faithful and just to forgive us.
